Celebrity plastic surgeon, Brett d’Angelo, loves DC mover and shaker, Gaelen Foley, but after five years of messing around, he’s ready to take the next step. Gaelen cherishes her exclusive relationship with Brett, but she isn’t willing to go farther, , afraid that if they invade each other’s private space, they’ll lose the magic.
If Brett is to persuade her they won’t fall into the miserable traps she witnessed her parents and sister fall into, he has to do something drastic, so he takes her not to the Bahamas for their two-week, shared vacation, but to his Alexandria townhouse, determined to show her not all commitments have to lead down roads to lifelong misery.
Ann Jacobs is the author of more than a hundred romance books and novellas, including The Oil Barons series and Courthouse Connections series books. Coming soon is Hunting the Dark Lord, a five-book series from Beyond the Page Publishing. She is currently revising and/or rewriting books as they revert from a former publisher, seeking to make them reflect her style: highly sensual but tasteful romances that bridge the gap between mainstream and erotic.
Before settling down to raise a family and write stories about to-die-for Alpha heroes and the women who tame them, Ann spent several years on staff of a national CPA firm and a few more as financial manager of hospitals and a health maintenance organization in west-central Florida. She began writing while her children were babies, making her first sale to the Berkley Publishing Group in 1996.
Almost twenty years and more than a hundred books and novellas later, she still lives in Tampa, Florida, with her own personal hero, her youngest son, a sometimes neglected orchid collection, and three very spoiled and much-loved furbabies, including regal Mr. Blue (a Russian Blue), LoverDog (her son’s twenty-three-pound Chartreux), and the latest additions, Molly Meow and Leo, senior tuxedo babies saved in the nick of time from the county’s high-kill shelter. (Her husband says, “No more,” but he loves them just as she does.)
Ann loves hearing from readers and tries to meet as many fans as possible at one or more conferences each year. You can learn more about Ann by visiting her website at annjacobs.net.
