Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a British author, but I’ve traveled, and lived, widely around the world. I’m currently living in the Scottish Highlands, after spending time in the heart of a New England forest. I’ve also lived in England, France, India and Australia. Wherever I happen to be living, you’re likely to find me at the nearest wifi hot spot with my laptop and a large mug of coffee.
I’ve published several dozen books under various names, working with major publishers and movie companies. Under my own name I write paranormal romance and have published four novels and several collections of stories.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Wolves of Craigellen is a boxed set of my Highland romance trilogy. With this series I set out to write a shifter romance with a difference: there’s a scientific rationale to the shifting, but that’s very much in the background of a story crammed full of passion and danger. The real inspiration for the series was the Scottish Highlands: one of my favorite places, and the perfect setting for wolves to run free!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My writing is heavily caffeine-fueled! Other than that, I write almost anywhere: I’ve sat with my laptop in woodland glades in a heavy coat and gloves, in warm coffee-shops, in airports… almost anywhere.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Far too many to name!
What are you working on now?
I’m working on a contemporary romantic thriller at the moment. Just in the early stages when I’m not convinced it’s every going to work out and become an actual book.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Put in the hours, don’t give up, finish what you start and then start something new!
