Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi! I am the author of 32 romantic crime and suspense novels, five screenplays and more than half a dozen short stories, due to be released soon.
Inspired by the likes of Sidney Sheldon and Gillian Flynn, my stories are bold, scandalous, controversial. They’re also peppered with romance, humor and drama.
To quote an Amazon reviewer: “When you pick up an Eve Rabi book, forget sleep. She writes gripping page turners that will keep you reading till the very end.”
If you’re bored of regular romance, if you like your romance with twists and turns, if you prefer your crime novels to have strong romantic themes, then you will enjoy my multi-genre, fast-paced, no-holes barred books.
In my spare time, I like to dance like no one is watching.
I also like to eat like no one is watching. That's why I have to dance so often.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
THE OTHER WOMAN – An epic and jaw-dropping collision between a betrayed wife and a cunning seductress.
A romantic suspense tale of love, lust and revenge.
What inspired me to write The Other Woman?
Women hurting women.
That’s right, these days, it’s common for the married man to ditch his long-suffering wife and mother of his children, in favor of a sexy young thing.
Dreams are destroyed, families are broken, lives are ruined, because women think nothing of hurting other women, and because they have no respect for the institution of marriage.
The wife has to walk away with her head held high. Why? Because society tells them to. Expects them to.
What if wives gave society the finger and fought back, forced mistresses to respect families, other women and the institution of marriage? And if they didn’t, we drag the affair out in the open, name and shame them?
Sure, it might turn into one epic, global fight, but … the family remains intact and we women have to think twice before we make decisions that can cause untold pain to other women.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like to write with the TV blaring in the background. It does not disturb me.
I also like to write in bed. Even during the day, I love to lie in bed while I pound away at my keyboard.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Sidney Sheldon, Jeffery Archer, John Grisham, Gillian Flynn.
What are you working on now?
I'm currently working on a screenplay about 8 good friends, wealthy and underprivileged, who encounter a psychic that ruins their lives.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use Facebook, Fiverr, Amazon and other book promotional sites. If you have to ask me which brought me the best results, I would have to say, Fiverr. Strange, but true.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Be friendly with other authors. They are not your enemy. They aren't even your competition. Give, and they will give back to you.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Focus on where you're going, not what you're going to crash into.
What are you reading now?
I'm reading the screenplay, Orange is the New Black.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I plan to write more books, more screenplays and travel extensively, while writing.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Rachel's Holiday, by Marian Keyes. I've read it more than once.
