“About No Tomorrows by Doris Rangel:
When British rocker Gideon Hunter rents the fishing cabin on a Texas coastal ranch, he is in the throes of deep personal grief and fleeing the paparazzi. There he encounters Sabrina Morrison, a poet, trying to come to terms with her own insecurities. Over the course of a Texas spring these two become lovers.
But Gideon knows he can’t hide forever, and Sabrina knows she must get on with the life she, too, left behind. From the outset they agree their affair is only a temporary thing, with no promises of tomorrows. When the world eventually calls, they go their separate ways. Time passes before fate takes a hand and when they meet again, they find the flame between them burning as bright as ever. But Sabrina’s life is far different now in a way Gideon isn’t sure he can accept.
When given a second chance, can Gideon’s still wounded heart open itself to innocent love again?
“When the Music’s in You” is a series of stand-alone romances/women’s fiction novels featuring musicians and the women who love them. With no crossover characters or settings, the books can be read in any order, but music is at the heart of each story. Still, it takes the heart of a caring woman to set it to beating again.
Book 1 NO TOMORROWS. Grief stricken rock star Gideon Hunter has also lost his music and his stability. Can poet Sabrina Morrison, fighting battles of her own, help him find it again?
“…. kind of story that stays with you long after the last page. Excellent!” “This book is hauntingly lovely.” Amazon reviewers.

My life has pretty much run the gamut when it comes to experiences. I’ve been single; I’ve been married. I’ve been a wife and a single mom. I am a grandmother. I’ve lived in many houses and did my best to turn them into comfortable homes. I’ve traveled near and far, though I am never happier than when I am in the wide open spaces of the American Southwest..
I’ve worn many hats in my professional life, too: teacher, K through community college and including adult ed.; small business owner (book store); seasonal park ranger with the National Park Service (Bent’s Old Fort in southeastern Colorado and Fort Davis National Historic Site in Far West Texas); Peace Corps Volunteer, twice (the Philippines and Armenia); and countless small filler jobs. All of these various employments have, had different goals: as a single mom, to keep food on the table and clothes on the backs of my 3 children; as a lover of far off places, to see some of the world and enjoy its people up close and personal; as a lover of history, to live it, however vicariously; as a lover of knowledge, to hopefully pass on the joy of it to others.
I’ve been a writer for many years. Give me an interesting setting and I can create a story to go with it. When I was young, I only crafted the stories in my head. It took me a while to figure out I could also write them. My essays and short stories eventually appeared in long ago publications, but you can find my romance novels on Amazon.
