Laina Ruff is a big fan of happy endings. She thinks there are too many sad stories and bad outcomes in the real world. In fiction, especially romantic and erotic fiction, she believes a happily ever after is essential.
Laina believes love knows no bounds and that good friends are at the heart of any happy life. She knows firsthand that love at first sight not only exists but that it can knock you firmly on your ass when you least expect it. She has been happily married to the love of her life for long enough to know that forever isn’t just a literary concept.
She loves chocolate and hates brussels sprouts. She thinks staring at your cell phone instead of gazing deeply into the eyes of your lover is a waste of time. While she is a huge fan of her own phone and all its many talents, she believes there is a time and a place for it. Her friends know that if you bring your cell phone out during dinner, it might wind up getting flushed. Connection and face-to-face conversation matter.
As far as her writing is concerned, her readers can rely on a few things. Firstly that she will never release any part of a series when she hasn’t actually finished writing the whole series. That way you’ll never be left hanging. She hates falling in love with a group of characters and then never being able to find out what happens to them because the author doesn’t get around to writing the ending. She’ll never do that to her readers.
Secondly, her characters will often connect with others you’ve already met. For instance, you should look for a certain bar and an oddly named diner to pop up in quite a few stories. Since much of what she writes is based on her real life, it makes sense that there are intersections of people and places throughout everything she writes.
And finally, you should know that Laina Ruff has been writing for a really long time. But it’s only now that she’s decided to release her work to the world. So there’s a substantial back catalog just sitting there waiting for someone to want to read it. Stories will be released as frequently as possible to give you something to look forward to.
A wonderful friend told her to be ‘authentic and reliable’. It was excellent advice and she’ll do her best not to let you all down.
Laina’s personal motto is simple. “Life is short. Eat your dessert first.” That pretty much says it all, doesn’t it?
